Leadership Mobile is Mobile United’s flagship leadership program, guiding established professionals to deepen their leadership skills, explore ethical community stewardship, and create meaningful impact. Since 1972, the year-long program has equipped leaders to understand community needs, analyze problem-solving processes, and strengthen group dynamics and networks. The program begins with a two-day opening retreat where participants define servant leadership, bond as a cohort, and identify areas where applied leadership can benefit the community.
A midpoint retreat launches the project phase, where participants work in small teams to design and implement solutions addressing real community challenges. Teams collaborate with local leaders and receive guidance from program faculty as they develop practical, sustainable projects. The program concludes with a public project presentation and graduation ceremony, and graduates are encouraged to continue their leadership through board service, volunteer leadership, or public office—shaping a stronger Mobile for years to come.
