Connect Mobile is a six-month servant leadership program for young and mid-career professionals ages 21–35 who are ready to deepen their civic engagement and expand their leadership impact. Through immersive learning, relationship-building, and collaborative service, participants gain the insight, skills, and connections needed to positively influence Mobile’s future. The program begins with a meet-and-greet networking event that connects the incoming class, fostering early relationships.
During the first three months, participants attend mandatory half-day seminars twice a month, exploring Mobile’s government, nonprofit, and for-profit sectors. These sessions provide behind-the-scenes access to local leaders and decision-makers while encouraging thoughtful discussion about the systems shaping the community. Each month also includes a fun, evening networking event designed to strengthen connections and expand professional networks. In the final three months, the cohort transitions into a project development phase. Working as one team, participants plan, develop, and execute a community project that applies what they’ve learned to address a local need and create tangible impact.
