The Public Safety Committee is researching and planning a gun safety education program that can be offered to students/parents in the community. The committee is working on a program to give our young citizens a voice through art expression on youth violence issues in our community. Our committee was recently awarded a grant from the Mobile Bar Foundation to provide awards and prizes. The committee includes community advocates and representatives from Strickland Youth Center, Mobile County Sheriff’s office, the Drug Education Council, Mobile Police Department and Mobile District Attorney’s office.
